What this page covers
This page explains what BK Interior's website stores on your device when you visit it, and how you can change your choices. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with information you send us.
What we store by default
The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use cookies to identify you. It stores a small amount of information in your browser so that it works the way you expect:
- Your product selection. When you add pieces from our catalogue to a selection, the list is kept in your browser so it is still there when you return. It is sent to us only when you submit an enquiry.
- Your cookie choice. So that this notice is not shown on every page.
- Your map choice. So that the map on the contact page loads straight away next time, if you asked for it once.
This information stays on your device. It is not shared with anyone, and we cannot read it from our side.
Google Maps
The contact page shows the location of our studio using Google Maps. The map does not load by itself. Until you press Show map, nothing is requested from Google. When you load it, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Your choice to load the map is remembered on your device, and clearing your browser data undoes it.
Analytics and advertising
The website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
The site is prepared for them, so that we can one day understand which pages are useful or measure an advertising campaign. If we switch them on, you will be asked first, through a notice offering Accept all, Essential only, or a choice between analytics and advertising separately. Nothing is stored for those purposes until you agree, and you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If that happens, this page will be updated to list exactly what is set and for how long.
Enquiry forms
When you send a contact enquiry or a product selection, the details you type are emailed to us so that we can reply. That is explained in our Privacy Policy. The forms do not set cookies.
Controlling storage in your browser
You can clear or block site data at any time in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this per website:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies and site data.
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage website data.
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Clearing this data will remove your product selection and your saved choices, and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit.
